The victory of Donald Trump in the US presidential election has raised many concerns. His plan to increase tariffs by about 10% on all United States imports and 60% on Chinese goods has severely affected the global economy as the supply chains of different nations are interconnected. So this decision by Trump will not only affect ‌US-China relations but also start a trade war between many other nations.

This war could hurt the US economy as well as its workers, consumers, and businesses. This high rate of tariffs would make the import of goods very expensive, resulting in higher costs for American consumers. It raises complexities with supply chains.

The US and China’s cooperation has traditionally helped both nations and the worldwide economy. This move by the United States could hurt its partnership and lead to economic instability. Furthermore, the US’s moves towards protectionist policies damage the economies of many other countries, leading to serious global economic challenges.

One of the big concerns for the new president is who they will select for their cabinet. The former congressman from Texas, Ron Paul, gave a warning to the people about the aggressive policies of John Bolton and Mike Pompeo. They want to come to power again. Elon Musk agreed and said it was not a wise decision to give power to the hands of people who push for conflicts.

Under the leadership of Donald Trump, ‌US foreign policy has made the world more dangerous. This leadership has badly impacted ‌‌US-China relations. Trump has plans to stop Chinese goods and divide nations into different political groups. This strategy has created more tensions and conflicts. The new US foreign policy has also ‌made problems complex in different places, such as Taiwan and the South China Sea by taking sides in local disputes. Furthermore, the Trump leadership has added fuel to ‌Middle East conflicts such as the Gaza war and the Russia-Ukraine war. These actions are driven by narrow political interests and have harmed global peace and stability.

One of the experts from Columbia University, Jeffrey Sachs, expressed concerns about ‌ current US foreign policy. This policy is pushing the world towards a new Cold World War, a possible third World War. Additionally, the US’ moves during Trump’s presidency resulted in nuclear conflicts that destroyed humanity.

It’s time for the US President to fulfil the promises that he made regarding stopping the war. If no ‌step is taken, then the risk of instability and war further increases.

In the current situation, where conflicts are growing and peace seems impossible, strong promises to lessen the tensions are needed.

To maintain peace, the United States should establish good relations with other countries, such as China, Russia, and North Korea. This is because working together is much better than fighting. If the US never changes its strategy and keeps its relationship with other nations complicated, it could result in significant problems. At the same time, if countries stay peaceful and work together, it might help avoid a disaster.

Back in 2018, when the summit between US President Donald Trump and North Korean Leader Kim Jong-un in Singapore highlighted a great moment in international diplomacy. Trump was making efforts to maintain good relations with North Korea. This was an important step that reduced tensions. At that time, he was not sure about his 2nd term presidency. Now his return to ‌power awakens hope in people’s hearts that he will work to resolve conflict in Eurasia and the Middle East. The successful effort could result in long-lasting peace in the Middle East and also improve the partnership between the US and North Korea.

These steps are essential to stop growing escalations that may lead to a Cold War or even a World War. Two important keys are maintaining diplomatic engagement and promoting peace-building efforts. This is the only way to bring peace and avoid further conflict.
