Washington, DC – On Wednesday, February 26, 2025, NYCFPA will host will host a panel discussion titled, “Women’s Rights and Representation During the Trump Administration” at the National Press Club.
This timely conversation will explore the ongoing impact of Trump-era policies on women’s rights in the U.S. and the broader global conversation on gender equality.
Moderated by Anna Albuquerque, the panel will feature leading experts on gender equality and policy, including Sofia Resnick from States Newsroom, Jessica Waters from American University, and Nina Besser Doorley from the Institute for Women’s Policy Research.
The panel will address the effects of Trump-era policies on reproductive rights and healthcare access, focusing on how these changes have particularly impacted marginalized communities. The discussion will also explore the elimination of DEI initiatives and its impact on workplace equality for women and LGBTQ+ individuals.
