One Of the big mistakes that Trump has done is to leave the Iran nuclear deal. This decision of Donald Trump hurts America’s foreign policy. But there is still a chance to fix that mistake. The current president of the United States has the chance to secure a major victory for security. This action also proves helpful for Kamala Harris. With it she can better guide the country towards a more peaceful Middle East. Biden can also correct his past mistakes by taking advantage of this opportunity. So it is important for him to never waste this chance and end his presidency on a high note while setting up a better future for Americans. So, this opportunity is important and should never be ignored.

Back to 2015, when the Iran nuclear deal stopped this nation from making more nuclear weapons. At that time, Trump pulled the United States out of this deal. This decision of Trump caused many problems for the Middle East and the United States. Iran started making more enriched uranium, and the hardliners in Iran who didn’t trust the U.S. got more power.

This condition also results in more attacks by Iran’s military and their alliance. It also includes attacks on American forces. In Iran, a strict government took over, leading to harsh crackdowns on civil protests, like the violent response to the “Women, Life, Freedom” movement after Mahsa Amini’s death.

Although, Trump is the root cause of all these problems. President can improve the situation by rejoining the deal. Experts told Biden to do it to calm things with Iran. Joe also made a promise to do this during his campaign.

The Biden administration did not handle diplomatic things very well. They kept and even made worse the tough policies Donald Trump set. Dealing with Iran is one of the best examples of it. They kept the sanctions that were only helpful for hardliners. Also they missed the opportunity to work with more willing leaders from Rouhani’s time.

In August 2021 Riasi became the president of Iran. At that time, the chance to fix things was lost. But now Riasi died in plane crash so US has chance to recover it nuclear deal with new president of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian

Pezeshkian, who supported the deal in 2015, seems ready to talk about how to manage Iran’s nuclear activities while easing sanctions for the Iranian people.

Joe Biden has a chance to make things secure for the United State and the region. Biden should try to reduce the tension with Iran by limiting Iran’s nuclear deal peacefully. This is the better idea than to follow the Trump strategy. This failed strategy only forced Iran to make nuclear weapons and cause more complexities. Also it compelled Iran to support groups that are against the United State.

Starting a new peaceful discussion with Iran could help to better the situation and avoid the conflicts. Biden already showed that diplomacy can work when he helped prevent a war between Iran and Israel. This approach might help avoid a costly war and meet the US goal of reducing conflicts.

It is good for the Biden administration to know that diplomacy is better than escalating conflicts.  With Vice President Harris running for office, the political side matters too. Most Americans like the Iran nuclear deal, JCPOA. While many still support it even when Trump pulled it out. Very few Americans support Trump’s decision. Although recent incidents such as the Gaza war, attacks on Israel and the United State forces change the opinion of many. A survey from before the Hamas attack showed people still supported a new Iran Deal.

Most Americans think that the United States should join the deal. It is about to ease some sanctions on Iran in exchange for strict control on its nuclear program. Furthermore, 72% of Americans voted that the US should make direct talk with Iran. It is a notable level of agreement.

However, negotiating a meaningful deal in the remaining time of Biden’s presidency will be tough. The Iranian nuclear program has progressed so much since Trump left the JCPOA that many of the original terms are no longer relevant or effective.
