Washington, DC – On Wednesday, January 29, 2025, NYCFPA will host will host a panel discussion titled, “U.S. Foreign Policy Under the Incoming Administration: Expectations and Implications” at the National Press Club.
The panel will focus on key issues such as anti-corruption measures, ethical considerations, and their impact on U.S. foreign policy, global security, and international trade. The discussion will be moderated by Emily Ekshian, with insights from Sharon Weiner, Associate Professor of Foreign Policy and Global Security at American University; Boaz Atzili, Professor of U.S. Foreign Policy in the Middle East at American University; and Jordan Tama, Provost Associate Professor of Foreign Policy and Global Security at American University.
Panelists will address how U.S. foreign policy may evolve under the incoming administration, including the implications for global security, international relations, and trade partnerships. The conversation will also examine ethical challenges in U.S. foreign policy and the importance of maintaining strong diplomatic relationships in an increasingly complex international environment.
The event will begin with opening remarks, followed by a panel discussion. A 20-minute Q&A session will allow audience members to engage directly with the panelists. The session will conclude with closing remarks.
