FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
WASHINGTON, DC [4 NOV 2021] – The New York Center for Foreign Policy Affairs is shocked by the State Department’s approval of this latest arms sale to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
While this approval is alarming to our organization, one could have guessed that the Biden Administration would have eventually approved such a deal to one of the Middle East’s main aggressors.
The Biden Administration continues to turn a blind eye to the killing of Jamal Khashoggi. This administration continues to avoid acknowledging aggression in the region by letting the UAE F-35’s arms deal to continue while our organization continues to fight this arms sale in Federal Court. This Administration is continuing to expand an unnecessary arms race in the Middle East which contributes to instability in the region.
President Biden and Secretary Blinken must hold the Saudi government accountable for their actions…not reward them.
