Agne Cepinskyte recently completed a two-year postdoctoral fellowship at the Finnish Institute of International Affairs (FIIA) in Helsinki and Stiftung Wissenschaft und Politik (SWP) in Berlin. During the fellowship, I focused on security issues in the Arctic, including a security dilemma in the region, policies of the Arctic and non-Arctic states, and the rights of indigenous peoples. My research has been published as both in-house policy briefings and external articles in the Arctic Yearbook and the Arctic Institute.
Dr. Michael Paul is Senior Fellow of the International Security Division, Stiftung Wissenschaft und Politik (SWP) in Berlin; since 1995 Project Director of the Armed Forces Dialogue (in cooperation with the Germany Ministry of Defense); member of the Arctic Dialogue; and 2018-2019 member of the Expert Team on Maritime Security of the German Government. He has published extensively about the Arctic region, arms control, international security, maritime security, and nuclear strategy. He is currently writing several policy papers, concerning Russia´s Arctic policy (forthcoming), Arctic national strategies, Arctic military security, and a book about geopolitics and security in the Arctic.
Nick Solheim is the Founder of The Wallace Institute for Arctic Security, an advocacy group dedicated to ensuring a free and fair Arctic for future generations by advocating for peaceful resolutions to the many challenges facing the Arctic nations today.
